1. SHORT TOUR TO LACI BAKERY

2. LONG TOUR TO LACI BAKERY

Our guide awaits your group in bakery. Guide will tell you about the process of making bread and introduce you with our bakery secrets. In the end of tour you will taste different types of bread, enjoy our little meat pies and garlic bread, you will spread hemp and herb butter on genuine rye bread, and in order to get more strength we will eat real Latvian lard and for more health – with a tomato, a cucumber, a carrot, and, of course, for every gourmet – genuine bread soup and our confectionery. Tour could take 50 minutes and more as you order.

Entry cost 9, 50 LVL per person.

3. SPECIAL INTEREST TOURS

Guided tours in our bakery with different activities for groups.

Well becoming like incentive events.

In tours you can make rye dark bread buy yourself

(10LVL per loaf, groups from 30 peoples have different prices).

Make white bread loaf or pretzel

(White bread loaf from 3 LVL, pretzel from 0,35LVL).

Introduce with Latvian folklore songs, dance and games (From 70 LVL per group).

Approach: I believe a good tour guide knows how to show around the city so that tourists can remember the details vividly. Stories and legends about various buildings, places, and people always help to imagine the atmosphere of the particular times of history.

Experience: I have done various kinds of art work including painting, drawing, textiles, ceramics, sculpture, and photography. In high school I was taught History of Riga (it was for the first time that such a subject was taught in any of the high schools in late 1980s). My interest in art history and in history of Latvia has remained strong ever since. I have travelled throughout Europe, having been as far north as to Iceland, west – Portugal, south – Rome, but my interest in religion brought me to the United States where I studied for 4 years.

Presently, besides working as a tour guide, I also teach English at Luther’s Academy. I have worked as a teacher for 9 years and enjoy it as much as guiding because I love communicating with people and helping them to learn new things.

Education: University of Latvia, B. A. degree in English Philology. Spalding University (Louisville, KY), M. A. degree in Religious studies.

Hobbies, interests: art, photography, film, theater, literature, folk music.

Ieva Gundare - Historian - Latvia

Although I am educated and daily working as an historian, I am interested not only in history. I also care of current affairs, Latvian identity, minority history, architecture, and nature.

I do general tours of Riga in English.

I particularly like to do specialized tours on Swedish, German, Jewish, Russian,and Soviet heritage, Holocaust, WWII, antiquity hunting, and backyard-side ofthe city.

I enjoy participating in family history projects.

Bordering on the Baltic Sea is a Ring of Countries referred to as The Baltic States.

They are not the Balkins ! - which are actually on the southeast of europe.

The Balic States are a vastly different series of breathtaking locations that can not be easily seen in a few days. So most likely, one will pick only a couple of the locations to visit at a single time.
